Shayne unlocked his door and turned on his lights before walking over to his desk. He put a sign out in the hall pointing Sophomores to his room first thing in the morning and then got to work setting his laptop up. He emailed James to let him know he was up and running without any problems. And then he just waited for the students to arrive as he kicked back in his chair and sipped on his coffee.
Jameson was the first to arrive because he rode to school with his sister who also happened to be a teacher here. He broke out a granola bar and his sketch pad and began doodling while he waited for the other students to arrive.

Micah and Des both walked into their rooms and found seats at opposite sides of the back of the room. Micah sat back and plopped his feet on the desk. He hated wearing that stupid medallion, but he understood why he had to. And honestly, he was better than being back in Arcadia. He hated the place and never wanted to go back. Luckily he wasn't a Sidhe and could get away with it. He crossed his hands behind his head and listened to his earbuds. He really hoped there were some hot girls at this school. The last school he had been to was out in the middle of a farm town... those where some fugly chicks. He would have rather fucked the cows!
Des sat down and pulled out his phone. He was texting his friends back home. They started school today too, but they were still back in Nola. He missed Lousiana so badly. This place didn't smell right. He was cool where he came from, had lots of friends, a great house out in the country. Now he was in the middle of residential hell and didn't know anyone. This sucked!

Seriana walked into the room wiping her hands on her pants. Her hands were never going to fully come clean but she enjoyed working on cars way too much to truly care. Her long flowing bright red hair hung down to her ass now. She was proud of it. It was the only thing that was girly about her. She bit her nails off on a regular basis and jeans and a tshirt was her favorite outfit. She sat in the middle of the room after she looked over the two new boys. Not bad looking, either or them. Braden came in and sat down next to Seri having a quiet conversation with her about their summer.
Shailynn sauntered into the room with what looked to be all designer clothes. She'd picked out the good ones that she'd gotten from Savers for her first day. Even her backpack was snazzy after the touchups she had done to it. She smiled and winked at both of the new boys and then sat a few desks in front of the one who seemed to be texting furiously.

Des looked up briefly to see the three students that walked into the room. The two girls were kinda cute. But they weren't his kind of girls. He smiled at the blonde and went back to his phone. Catching up on all the news since he'd talked to them yesterday.
Micah just gave a nod to both of them and winked back at the cute blonde. This might be promising. So far, not bad. And the guy, he could take him. He stayed in this lounging position, get couldn't seem too interested. He had to play this out. Not to mention, you never knew who else might be walking through that door.

Marie walked into the classroom almost a zombie. She could smell coffee everywhere but had no access to it. Her long strawberry red hair was done up in a bun and she was dressed like a librarian, glasses and all. The only makeup she wore was a gloss that made her lips look fuller and poutier than they already were. She smiled shyly at everyone and took her seat in the center of the back of the room.
Sean made his way in last. His hair was spikey today and he was dressed somewhat nicely. He looked over at the new kid that had his earbuds in. He was always listening to music and looking for new music to listen to so he walked over. "Hey, I'm Sean. What are you listening to?" He sat down beside him.

Micah almost didn't notice that the boy had spoken to him. He turned, pulling one ear bud out. "Huh, oh. Portishead. Ever heard of them?" He really hoped so, he needed someone to talk to about music an such. So many people his own age didn't know anything past what they heard on the radio. Not that there was anything wrong with most of what was on the radio, anything with a beat was worth dancing or fucking to. "And name's Micah.

Sean smiled. At last someone with some taste in music other than what mainstreamed the radio. "Hell yeah. I've got the full album 'Dummy' on my mp3 player. So, where'd you come in from?" Micah looked laid back and sounded like a cool guy to talk to so far. He didn't have very many friends because he was kind of a geek.

"Originally, Egypt. A little town not far from Cairo. Most recently, nowheresville Pennsylvania. Happy to be around people that don't constantly smell like cow shit." He put his hand out to the boy. Seemed cool enough, for now.
Des just watched as to see if anyone else was going to walk into the room. Gods above, he just really wanted to be back in the bayou.

Sean shook Micah's hand with a smile. "Well I wouldn't recommend going west then. There's a ton of cows here. But as long as we stay in the city we're ok."
"Oh lawdy look at dis boy here. We gots us some trouble now." Riq walked into the room smiling at Des. It had been awhile since he'd seen him and his family but had gotten the heads up from Roman that they'd be here. "Taste a home?" He set his coffee down on the boy's desk.

"Noted, thanks man. So, you know Portishead. What about VAST? I think they are great. I really wish the would put out a new album." Micah put his feet down and turned to face the boy he was talking to.
Des looked up from his phone at the familiar accent. "Hey there, ol' man. They let joo work with kids?" He sniffed at the cup that had been put in front of him. "Chichery? Oh, joo beautiful man, joo. Joo would happen to be smugglin any bingets, no?" He was happy to see a familiar face and have a bit of a taste of home.

Sean smiled. "Now that one I haven't heard of. I'll have to look them up. Or do you have the files?" He turned to look at the SRA with the funky accent and then noticed the other new kid sounded just like him. It was such a weird way of speaking.
"Pssh. Joo tink I'm crazy boy? Course I do. I can go git a couple if jer hungry." He always brought a half dozen with him. If it would help Des be more comfortable then he was glad to help.

Micah almost cussed, he didn't use a whole lot of tech, it didn't work well with him being a Changeling. "Not with me. But you can catch a lot of it on YouTube. Check out "Pretty when you Cry". It's an awesome song and a bad assed video."
"Ahh, joo would be my best friend in the world, joo! I ain't had any since we left home six weeks ago." He smiled up at the blonde man he hadn't seen since he was a little boy.

Sean pulled out his phone and started typing in the song name. "I'll save that for later. It looks like class is going to start soon."
Riq grinned. "Joo sit tight. I'll be back." He nodded and exited the room.
Shayne looked at the clock. "Alright guys. We got ten minutes until the first bell. If you don't know where your first class is come see me."

Micah pulled his class list out of his back pack. "Looks like I've got Math first. What about you man?"
Des smiled at Riq. "This my first class, so I'll be right here, me." Maybe this place wouldn't suck too badly.

Sean looked at his schedule and smiled. "Math it is. Let me see your schedule." He leaned forward and compared their classes. "Looks like we'll be seeing each other often. We have Math, History and Gym together. And of course lunch. That's the most important class of the day." He chuckled.
