Terryn's classroom was a little boring. He hadn't had a whole lot of time to set up, only the hour for first period. But he was ready and waiting for his students to arrive. Spanish was his first class. "Buenos Dias! Como esta?" He said it to each student to gauge their level of knowledge and commitment. Most students took Foreign Language only because it was a prerequisite for college. But there were the rare few that actually enjoyed it. He was aware that he looked young which was bound to get him in trouble, but that was just when his body had stopped aging. Most Carpathians aged gracefully into their thirties before ceasing their maturity. He however had the curse of a young face.

Karra walked in. This was going to be an amusing class. She had no real desire to take a Language class. She felt like her accent made everything sound funny coming out of her mouth, but last year the councilor told her that she had to have at least one Language credit to graduate and that if she even thought she might want to go to college she had to have at least one year. So she decided that she would take Spanish. That way Landread could help her with her homework for once... Instead of the other way around. "Hola, Senor!" Her southern drawl made her sound comical. She only felt better about how much she was going to butcher this language when she saw Shannon walk in a few students behind her.
Shannon came running in. " 'ello!" She looked around and processed what the man had said to her. "Huh? Oh, looks like I'm takin' Spanish. This should be a gas. Sorry now for butcherin' what I can only hope isn't yer native tongue. But then, you dun'nae look like a Spaniard, so I think I'm square!" She took a seat along the edge.

He smiled as the first two students came in with very thick accents that were so far from Spanish it was ridiculous. This was going to be fun. He switched to his natural language when the dark curly haired girl came in. "You'll do just fine. If I can do it, you can do it."
He switched back to English when addressing the class although it was thickly accented with scottish brogue. "Welcome to Spanish class. Now I know you all have your own way of speaking but we're going to change that for the hour that you're with me." He switched to a thick french accent. "Its mind over matter people. Its all in the way you move your tongue." Then he switched to an arabic accent. "I'm going to retrain your brain." He loved showing off. He'd been around for so long and been so many places that he spoke just about every language.

Shannon smiled at him and responded in her parent's tongue. "Something tells me that you have more practice. But, I'm here. I'll try."
Karra and Shannon both just looked at him, their mouths open in awe as her moved seamlessly from one accent to another with ease. "Sweet baby Jesus, yer pretty good with that thing!" She smirked at him. She mentioned moving his tongue, she was going to make a veiled comment about it.

Terryn smirked at her, "Yes. I am." He started handing out their workbook. Speaking with his normal accent, "We're going to have to learn the boring stuff first. The alphabet and what the different letters look like and how to pronounce them. There are a few more letters than in the english alphabet. You'll get the hang of it in no time. I don't suggest working ahead only because it'll make things confusing. I highly recommend a drink in this class because you'll be talking a lot. I have a mini fridge that I'll stock with water and anything else you guys want. Just let me know. I just have water and tea in there right now so if you want something go grab it. Let your suggestions in my suggestion box." He pointed to the small box on top of his desk.

Karra spoke up first. "Long as you got sweet tea, we're right as rain."
Shannon made a gagging noise. "Blech, you Yanks and your sugared weak tea."
"Now, I ain't no Yankee! I'm southern, born and bread." Karra nodded with pride.
"Love, you're American. Ta me, your all Yanks."

Terryn smirked at them. "Alright, alright. I encourage friendly banter but go easy with the name calling. I do not have sweet tea, I have green tea and water. Like I said, put a suggestion in my box before you leave today with a drink type and it'll be here tomorrow. Please make sure to include a brand. Oh, and no sodapop. While I enjoy a good belching contest I tend to keep that outside of school."
A male student Karra hadn't met before leaned over and whispered to her. His accent was just as thick as hers. "What kind of sweet tea you like? I prefer homemade to anythin' that comes in a bottle. If ya want I can bring ya in some." ((Looks like Chad Michael Murray from The Haunting in Connecticut 2))

She smirked. "Cute. I'm born and raised about thirty miles from here. But Momma's from Tennessee and Daddy grew up in Georgia. What brought you to our little slice of pasture?"

"Oh you know, change of scenery was needed." Jake left the answer vague. No need in scaring a girl he just met. She didn't need to know that they had been run out of town for the animals they were. The less people knew, the less chance for them turning them in. He'd scented quite a few shifters here but he wore a necklace with an herb in it that had them smelling that instead of his scent.

"Well, welcome. And thank ya kindly for the tea." She smirked.
Shannon was going through her work book. "Um, so, are there after school tutors available fer this cause I dun'nae think I'm gonna get all this on me own."

Terryn nodded. "I'm here every school night for about an hour and a half. Then I have dinner with my nephew. Miss Austin is also available for questions if you have any. She's just in the next room."

Karra's phone buzzed in her pocket. She slid it out and responded under her desk.
"Obits? Morbid. I've got class with the Irish mess. It's alright, I guess. There's a new kid offering me sweet tea."
Shannon was following along in her work book and taking notes on what the would be expected to of them this year.

Once Terryn had finished what he needed to explain to them, the bell was just about to ring. "Sorry that took so long guys. You've got five minutes to yourselves. Now would be a good time to put in your requests."
He walked over to Shannon's desk and spoke in Gaelic to her. "It's really not as hard as it seems to be right now. But if you want to set up a study time to meet with me we can do that."
