"Thank you so much for everything you've done tonight Cain. I don't know how I'll make it up to you but I will some day." She smiled at him as he left and then shut her door. She took a hot shower and then got into her big fluffy pajamas. She couldn't sleep in her bed so she snuck into Ahmed's room and cuddled up to him. Hopefully they could both stay home tomorrow.
Michelle showed up around 5:30 am after her shift ended at Black Dog. She checked on everyone to make sure they were asleep and then took a shower in the downstairs bathroom and put on her pajamas. She made Soren's lunch and packed it in the refrigerator in its normal spot and then took a nap on the couch. She couldn't stand sleeping beside him anymore and was contemplating divorce but she loved the kids so much. She couldn't leave them alone with the monster they called dad. She would stay until it killed her. Hopefully Titi would graduate and go off to college before it came to that.

Cain was very happy to see that Michelle was a good woman and glad that they had adjusted Soren's ideals on being a good husband as well.
He was much more comfortable leaving Titi alone with her family now. At the last possible moment, he flew around, checking all the Windows to make sure that everyone was alright then he went back to his car, making sure no one would see him shift he landed at the tree line and walked out, jumped in his car and headed off to work. He figured the "boss man" would appreciate him being late, regardless the reason.

Ahmed dragged Titi to school the next day. He still wasn't sure what was up or how he was alive but he remembered the nurse's face and he needed answers. And he was damn sure not leaving her at the house just in case their father came home earlier than he did and they had a repeat of last night. He left her outside to wait for Micah because they got there as soon as he could drag her out the door and went to talk to the nurse.
Titi was not a happy camper. She had made him stop for coffee at least and she grabbed all the caffeine she could find and shoved it in her book bag so it was pretty heavy and sloshy.

Cain was sitting in Terryn's office when he felt Titi's presence. He was both excited and concerned that she was here. He truly expected her to stay home for the day. It was still very early, hardly any students where there. He walked pursue to find her huddled around a cup of coffee.
"Good Morning, beautiful. I didn't expect to see you here. Is everything alright?"
Now he was worried that some how everything that he and Anna had tried to do had failed. Usually they I've if the person was unable to be conditioned, but they had no problems last night. What could have gone wrong?

Titi looked up at him with a pout. She'd had to put on extra makeup this morning to hide the bags under her eyes. She was pissed.
"Ahmed is a ruthless bastard. He said that he needed answers so we had to come to school. I don't need answers. I need sleep. Is there some place you can hide me so I can just go back to sleep? All I ask is that you sneak me some lunch." She looked up at him with her most pathetic sad eyes. She'd really like him to hide out with her but she didn't want to get him fired.

"Of course. Follow me. You can crash in Mom's... Shea's office. You have my permission and I'll tell Anna so she can inform your teachers." He wanted to pick her up and carry her there, but students were beginning to arrive.

"Oh I love you so much right now." She hefted on her bag and debated on leaving it there but she couldn't. When the bottles clinked she cringed. "I swear it's just extra coffee. I stockpiled." She blushed and started walking to the nurse's office. She'd ask him about the 'mom' slip up but she just figured Miss Tate was a close friend of his too. For some retarded reason that made her jealous. She tried to shake it off as her just being too tired to think straight.

"Let me carry that for you. I would hate to see you cry when you drop it and shatter that many bottles of life giving caffeine!" He smirked and took the bag from her. His heart was still pounding from her saying that she loved him. It wasn't what she really meant at the moment. But, it was good enough for him right then.
He lead her into Shea's office. "Morning, I've got someone here that needs some much needed sleep. I sent her to you to hide." He smiled as he walked over and gave her a strong hug. He was as close with Anna's parents as he was with is own.

Shae hugged Cain with a big smile. She was so happy that all her kids were together again. "Good morning honey." She looked at the girl. She could feel how tired she was. "You poor dear. Come with me. Cain, honey, bring her bag back here." She walked them into the back room and turned down the covers of a quite elaborate bed for a school nurse's office.
"Wow! You actually have a bed like this in here? This is amazing." Her smile lit up her face. "Thank you. I just need a little more sleep. I hope I won't be back here all day."
Shae smiled and went out to the main office, leaving Cain to have some private time with his lifemate.
Titi took Cain's hand and squeezed it. "You are too good to me. Thank you for helping me through all of this. I wish you could stay here for a little while with me but I don't want you to get in trouble."

"Get some rest, beautiful." He smiled, still resisting the urge to kiss her and hold her while she slept. He gently put her backpack down next to her and left the room.
He nodded at Shea, "Thanks, Mom. I'll be back through to check on her." He left and got out to do his rounds, he didn't want to give the Angel of Death anything to jump his ass about. Or cause him to bitch to Annie about him. He jogged to catch up with Shawn.
