Ivan's world was turned upside down and he was suddenly very horribly unorganized. His name was already written on the board and the syllabus was on his desk waiting to be handed out. English was very boring for most students so he tried to make his lesson plan with them in mind. The very first assignment he thought was a creative one. He had enough small boxes for everyone and they had half of the class period to figure it out before they had to present it. The "getting to know you" game was old fashioned, he knew, but this was hopefully a fun twist on it. He greeted the students as they came in and hadn't assigned their seats. If they got too rowdy he would, but until then he was going to think he could trust them.

Micah walked in with Sean, chatting about music the whole way to class. He walked in and saw the blonde man with the long hair. The teachers looked a lot different here than they did at his old school. He nodded at the man, "Morning, Boss." and continued to find a seat towards the back on an outside edge.
Des walked in shortly after, dusting the powdered sugar from his clothes. He had to run after he realized that he'd read his schedule wrong. But he hadn't spilled an ounce of his drink. He got in the door. "Morning, can I keep this?" He pointed to his cup.
Kat walked in quietly a few minutes after the bell had rang. She looked around, looking like a scared baby animal, there where so many kids and they had all turned to look at her. She walked up to the large desk in the front of the room and held up her shaking hand with a small piece of paper it in. "I'm sorry I'm late. My Brother told me that I have to give this to you." She just looked up at him with large, blue doe eyes.

Sean sat down next to Micah and continued their conversation until the bell rang.
Ivan nodded at Des. "You can keep it as long as you promise not to slurp and not to spill it. One spill and you'll never have coffee in my class again. Understand?"
He was about to hand out his syllabi and books when he noticed a small skittish girl walk into his class and approach him. He smiled at her and accepted the pass. This had to be the girl Anna was talking to him about. She had Lance's angular features and blue eyes. "Thank you. You must be Kat. Welcome to Turner. Have a seat anywhere you like." He kept his deep voice calm and relaxing.

Des nodded. "I wouldn't dare disgrace this by spillin' it, Sir. Dats abuse!" He smirked and walked to a seat.
Kat just looked around the room and took a seat all the way in the back where she could avoid everyone looking at her. She sat down in the chair, taking a few deep breaths and fidgeting with the hem on her shirt.
Micah watched the girl go by, she was beautiful. He wanted to make a comment about it, but as soon as she passed him an emence sadness and fear washed over him. He tried to shake it off and pulled a hershey's kiss out of his pocket and popped it in his mouth before the necklace had to work over time. That always made him sick to his stomach.

Ivan handed out the syllabi and books, speaking as he went. "You guys learned the basics of English in 101 so now we're going to focus on using it. I like to read. It's what I do in my spare time. So, you will be writing papers. Not long ones but frequently. You'll learn the different styles of writing, point of view, persuasion, description and such. It's all outlined in that piece of paper. A few rules. I don't mind if you have drinks and snacks in my class. It's first thing in the morning and breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But if I have to remind you once that you a crinkling too loud or slurping or if you spill, that privilege will be revoked for that student. Fridays I will provide breakfast. Another thing, I don't like cell phone in my class. This is a very interactive class so looking at your phone will have you lost. Now, before we get started on the lesson for today, I have a fun activity for you. I have these little boxes I'm going to hand out. In each box is five slips of paper. You'll have twenty-five minutes to fill them out and then we will be sharing."
Inside the boxes are five pieces of paper with questions about them: What is your favorite color and why? What is your favorite book and why? If you could go on vacation anywhere, where would you go and why? What is your favorite memory? What is your favorite joke.

Micah looked over the box of papers. Easy enough, though he if this man wanted honesty, he was going to get himself into trouble. "Color, pink... It's the color of a pretty girls lips. Book, Song of Ice and Fire, It has all of the best things in life. Sword fights, magic, rampant alcoholism, and lots of sex! Vacation, I'd like to go back home. I haven't been back to Egypt in about ten years. I miss it, I've almost forgotten what it looks like. Favorite memory, Swimming in the Mediterranean Sea with my Brother and Mother when I was about four. And joke...." He looked right at the stoic teacher, knowing that he was going to get cut off. "There once was a man from Nantucket...."

Ivan remained quiet daring him to continue. If the boy wanted to make an ass out of himself then he'd let him. It was his reputation he was affecting. His class was an open class and he expected them to verbalize.
The rest of the class looked between Micah and then the teacher and then Micah again to see if he was going to continue or not. Sean just had a smirk on his face.

This guy looked like he meant business, and probubly won't know a joke if it bit him in the ass. But he knew that Amran wouldn't take took kindly to him getting written up on the first day so he played it off. "....Well you know the rest." He coyly adjusted himself as he sat down.
Next was Des. "Alright, I s'pose I'm next, me. Favorite color, orange. The same color as the sky over the biyou at sunset. Book, um, I suppose Pet Sematary, I just like everythin' that Stephan King writes. An' that was the first one my Daddy gave me. Vacation, I dunno. This is the first time I ever left Lousiana. I guess, Paris... I already speak the language." He smirked, he'd heard that girls around here really liked boys that spoke french. "And Memory, Goin' gator huntin' with my Uncle Talon! An so here's mah joke. Two muffins are sittin in the oven. And one look ta the other and says. "Woowe, it's hot in here." The other muffin starts a screamin' "Ah, holy shit, it's a talkin' muffin!" He smiled and then looked at the teacher. "Sorry, Sir." He sat down.

Everyone knew the end of the joke so there were scattered chuckles around the room. Braden smirked to himself. As cocky as the bastard seemed to be, he was afraid of Mr. Kirowitz. Everyone laughed at Des' joke just because it was stupid humor. Even Ivan broke a smile.
Seriana stood up next. "Alright. I'll go. My favorite color orange as well but I love sitting my a fire late at night when its chilly out. My favorite book is called Styxx because it was the only book that I've ever read that made me laugh out loud and cry so hard it hurt. For my vacation I'd like to go to Virginia beach because I've never been out of Kansas, it's by the ocean and I heard there are wild horses that roam the beach. My favorite memory is of my mom baking chocolate chip cookies when I was little. It doesn't happen anymore. And to lighten the mood, my joke. What's the definition of gross? Siamese twins joined at the mouth and one of them pukes!" She sat down all proud of herself.

Des laughed that "ugh, you so nasty" kind of laugh.. Micah was almost horrified at the joke, But he understood her sadness over her mother. He wasn't sure if it meant that she was gone or if it was just like she was. He missed his parents. All he had left was his brother and the memories of them being executed right in front them for a crime they had no part in. Just because they were Unseelie, the were automatically guilty.
Kat watched as each student took their turn. There were a few of the questions that she just didn't have answers for. When she was the last person left, she was repeating her mantra to herself over and over. She couldn't hide anymore, It was her turn and they expected her to speak. It was very quiet and her voice was shaking. "Um, my favorite color is blue. Like my mommy's and my Bubby...." Quit talking like a fucking baby. You are pothetic. Admit, you can't do this without me.
She shook her head. "My mother's and my brother's eyes. My favorite book is Alice in Wonderland, it was my bedtime story when I was young. I don't know where I would go on Vacation, I've never taken one before. I like it here. My favorite memory...." Yeah, Kitty Kat, tell them all the great memories we have. About how men would pay to touch you. Pay even more to fuck you. Tell them how you threw up all over the first cock that was shoved down your worthless little throat. How they beat you for biting. Tell them about how your Mommy's blood stained your legs for a week. What's your favorite?
She closed her eyes tight, trying to shut her out. She was trying to focus on breathing in and out, just like Lance and told her. Counting backwards from ten, like the doctor told her.
"Umm, I guess taking the train across Russia with my brother and parents right before we left for America to visit my Aunt and Uncle." Cause that was the last time she'd seen her mother alive and her family together. Her mother and her were taken shortly after they'd landed.
"And I'm sorry... But I don't know any jokes." She didn't know what to do. Everyone was starring at her. She was just tugging at her shirt under her desk.

Ivan had known the girl was scared to speak so he calmly entered her mind to try and help give her confidence. The words that he found there were not her own. At least it didn't sound like it. The voice was still feminine but it was different. And the things it was saying were horrifying. If they were true, which he was betting they were, he could understand why the girl acted the way she did. Especially around men. Her whirling memories ran through her mind so fast and were so explicit they gave him a migraine. Outwardly his face remained stoic, but inside he felt like he was going to be sick.
Once she was done and still just standing there, he spoke. "That's alright. I'm sure you've heard a few interesting ones today that you can repeat later to your brother if you found them funny. You can sit. That ladies and gentlemen was your lesson for today. To find your voice and speak about yourself with an audience. You'll find I like impromptu things. Our first topic of discussion is going to be the art of persuasion. But for now, since we've only got ten minutes left of class, relax and you can talk calmly. Thank you for participating." He needed a break. His head was killing him. He should know better than to use his powers at school.

Kat sat down quickly and sunk so far into her seat that it looked like she was trying to disappear into it. She was shaking all over.
Des looked the girl over. She looked like she was going to be sick. He didn't know if she was scared or.... special. She had a quiet little voice that touched something in him, something that told him that she needed to be protected.
Micah could see in the girl's eyes that she was haunted by something. He knew what that looked like. His heart went out to her. But he couldn't be around someone like that. It would get him outed real quick. Someone that close to death and despair was a massive glamour drain.

Jameson could tell the girl was tormented. He'd never really felt the need to talk to anyone before, like a full on need to calm them down or anything, but she'd changed that. He didn't like seeing her in that much pain. So he turned to her and in a quiet voice, tried to strike up a conversation. "I've never been on a train before. I hear that Russia is a very beautiful country."
Seri waited until Braden was busy talking to someone before she turned to look at Micah with a shy grin. "Please forgive my ignorance. I don't know a whole lot about it but I heard that Egypt is just all sand dunes. Did you ever visit any of the pyramids?"

Kat heard a voice pulling through the fog of her head to reach her. She turned quickly looking the boy over. He had sharp angled features, but he had kind eyes. He had asked about Russia so he had to be talking to her. But why was he talking to her? What did he want?
"What I remember was. I haven't been there since I was five. Where are you from?" She was trying. She promised Lance she would try.
Micah smiled at the pretty redhead. "There's a lot more than just sand, there's a lush area around the Nile and we have two cost lines. Along the Medderterannian and one on the Indian ocean. I've never been that far East though. And yeah, I was born in a little village just south of Cairo along the Nile valley. In fact the Great Pyramids are so large you could still see them from my house almost sixty miles away. It was one of the most beautiful sights at sunrise and sunset."
He made sure to look her in the eye as he spoke to her. Just being charming, he wouldn't try anything so soon. Right now, was just a matter of being charming. Make the girls want him and the boys want to be him!

Jameson smiled at Kat. She was actually talking to him. "I'm originally from this tiny little town in Iowa. It's not even on the maps. My sister and I moved here about five years ago so she could find a better job. She's one of the Foreign Language teachers here."
Seri hung on Micah's every word. She'd never left the State of Kansas and was dying to get out. She didn't know if she could go somewhere hotter than this though. She would burn to a crisp. She bit her lip and smiled at him. "It sounds wonderful. So much better than here. Why did you and your brother move here?" She didn't want to ask about his parents just in case it was a sore subject.
