"I know. That's not what I want for him and I know it's not what he wants for himself. And if you are willing and ankle to help him in anyway, and you're not secretly a psycho who's looking to pull him to the dark side, then your are my saviour."
Her eyes welled at the thought of someone actually being able to help Rune. She loved him and Logan as if she had birthed then. And she hated to see burn of them in the states the were in right now. All she could do was pray that his man was what he said.

"Quite on the contrary, dear one. I seek to redeem myself for what I could not do for his brother. Luckily Rune has you who put him in a stable environment. It may not seem stable but trust me, it is far better than what it would be if he were still with the man who thinks he's his father."
He felt so bad that he couldn't have helped his brother. The environment was just too hostile making it all too easy for him to slip into the evil. That was why he needed Rune to be on the right side.

Anna almost choked on her wine. "He has a brother? He's never spoke of it.... And I knew that awful man wasn't his father."
There was another child like Rune out there? And he wasn't cared for... She could only imagine what could become of her precious Rune if he had stayed with that monster.

"There is no way Rune could have known. Children like them are not born traditionally. They are conceived by Gods and placed into mortal women to be birthed. Once they prove themselves worthy they may choose to rejoin their family or stay with the ones they know. If they stay, their powers with significantly dwindle."
He smiled over at her. "Something tells me he will choose to stay now that he has you and your family."

She blushed as the thought of it warmed her to get very core.
"I hope so. We all would be lost without him. I just hope I can help him and continue to give him a safe and loving home with a life as normal as possible. Normal is a relative term around here."

"Just remember what I have said tonight and all will be well. I will call on you to meet him when the time is right. For now, I'll let you enjoy your wine."
He stood to leave and then turned back. He looked at her for a moment, almost as if he were looking through her, and then blinked his eyes. With a smile and nod, he retreated back to the bar.

She watched him as he walked away and was a bit concerned with the look on his face as he stared at her. Then he retreated back into the crowd. She sat there mulling over everything he had said as she sipped more at her wine.
How did she talk to Rune about this without him feeling horrible and completely to blame? He had her compassion and she didn't want him to run away in an attempt to keep everyone else safe. Perhaps she'd talk to Dante and Logan, let them weigh in on it.
Now she just needed to figure out how to make her Lifemate happy.
