"Oh that." Alexandria giggled and blushed. It had been far too long since she'd had a man. She'd almost become asexual. "The new SRA is here. He's pretty to look at, I guess. If you're in to the Peter Steele look." She shrugged.
Kallen shook Anna's hand gently and then took the larger of the two seats in front of her desk. "No, thank you. I can't stay long. I just wanted to clear up a few things. I know you've most likely read my son's file. What are your thoughts?" He hoped she wouldn't say that due to previous records she was going to watch him like a hawk. Kaleb had changed a lot over the summer. He had too. A few weeks ago he had given his wedding band back to his wife. They were both, after eight years, finally able to move forward. The Draconis line was very loyal, sometimes to a fault.

She looked side ways at the email from Ivan. That the hell did he mean, "she's here"? She'd ask him later. "Oh, Draconis! You're Kaleb's father, right. Yes, I've reviewed it. I'm not sure what you mean by my thoughts. I read about a child that met a series of very unfortunate events and lashed out when he didn't know how to handle it. He sounds very strong willed, someone that works things out in their own time in their own way. It's my experience that this tends to be the time in a young man's life when they tend to start making life defining decisions for themselves. And I find that the people closest to them know the most about how to properly interact with them. So, Mr. Draconis, what should I make of that file? Is that an accurate account of the young man that will be walking my hallways this year?"
She'd seen it time and time again, not just with students, but with her own family, as the males start to enter puberty that they start to reevaluate things. She hoped this would be the case with this young man. Otherwise something told her that she would break one of her cardinal rules of being an educator. She swore she would never use her powers on a student. She'd only broken it once, but she was glad she had. It had caused her to find out that the boy was getting abused by an alcoholic father. Saved his life.

Kallen smiled at her assessment. He thanked Gaia that the wretched old man had finally retired and she would give Kaleb a break. It was what he needed. "Absolutely. Kaleb and I took a long trip this summer. Back to our roots. See, Kaleb is a lot like me." He closed his eyes and pulled off his sunglasses. Slowly he opened his golden eyes to the new principal to judge her reaction. The garou shouldn't be a surprise for her. He caught her scent as he walked in the room. She wasn't anything he'd ever scented before but she wasn't human.
"He hasn't shifted yet but he's getting close. We talked a lot. He knows what's going to eventually happen. We worked on controlling his anger issues. And we really helped each other. We've both grown a lot over the past few months. He told me that he could handle this and I believe him."

She had suspected as much as she read through his file over the summer, but she didn't dare assume anything. She smiled. "I see. To be honest, I'm not surprised. May I inquire as to his tribe and auspice, so that I can get a better idea of how to approach him properly."
Part of the reason she had tried for this position when it became available is that Alex had told her there was a large supernatural population within the staff, she could only assume that it would extend to the students.

"Well, that unfortunately is where my son differs from me. We are both Get of Fenris but where I am Galliard, he is Ahroun. That's where the true difficulty lies." Kallen sat back in the chair, thankful the new principal was a thoughtful person. "Thank you for being so understanding. It's refreshing compared to last year."

"No need to thank me. All children are different and they all have different needs, human and non. And in the spirit of full disclosure..." She moved to standing directly in a strong beam of sunlight and smirked at him fangs out. He had been honest with her, she would be honest with him.
"I'm part of an ancient race that hails from the Carpathian mountains along the edge of the Ukraine peninsula. I am not a Cainite. Your children have nothing to fear from me."

Kallen had never heard of them before. "Interesting..." Before he could say more, he heard his son's voice cursing in the hallway. He turned to see Kaleb burst through the office door.
Kaleb was never happier to see his father. "Oh good. You're still here. Just take me home. I'm fucking done with this place. That little cunt has gotten on my last nerve! I don't want to be here!"
Kallen had no idea who he was talking about.
Lance stopped just outside the door to the office that was wide open. This was the wrong place to be right now. Both men turned and looked at them and all he could do was squeeze Kat's hand. This was not going to be good at all.

Anna turned to see a shrunken carbon copy of the man in front of her burst through the door. She moved to start to attempt to defuse the situation when she heard the small girl outside her office....
Kat walked to the office with her brother, she looked up to see two of the largest men she'd ever seen in her whole life. And neither of them looked happy, and they were looking at her. Before she knew what she was doing she screamed in sheer terror and burried her face in her brother's chest. "no, no, no, no, no...."
Anna looked around the scene in sheer disbelief. It was the first day! Shit.... she was ready for anything. She could do this.

Both Kallen and Kaleb were taken aback by the girl's reaction. Kaleb lost all his anger and his face turned to concern for her.
Lance did the only thing he could think of. He picked his sister up and carried her to the teacher's lounge and kicked the for shut with his foot. Once he surveyed the room he saw the two teachers during there enjoying their coffee. "Sorry. Can you please make sure that no male comes in this room? Not even the principal." He sat down on the couch and held her to him tightly. "Shh it's okay Kitty Kat. Your safe. I'm here. They're not going to hurt you." He rocked her like their mom used to hoping to calm her down.
Both Shawn and Dante rushed to the office upon hearing the scream. They didn't see anything so they both looked at Anna confused.

She just snuggled in to him, trying to siphon the comfort from him. She wanted to crawl inside of him. To live through him, through his life, through his strength. She was trying to clear her head like he had told her to do when she was scared. She just rocked in his arms. This wasn't a great way to make a first impression at a new school.
Anna just looked at the two men at her door. Everything had happened so fast that she wasn't even caught by Dante's beauty. She looked at the father and son. "Please have a seat gentlemen, I'll be right back." She walked up to the SRAs, squeezing in between them. "I've got it, it was a young girl and what I can only assume is her brother. They walked into my office, she took one look at those two and screamed. I'm not sure as the the issue, but something tells me the two of you won't help it."

Alexandria watched the scene in shock until the boy made his request. She quietly got up and went to the door, cracking it only the slightest bit. Making eye contact with Anna she whispered. "Ms. Tate? You should probably come in. I don't know exactly what's going on but I don't think he knows you're the principal yet. No men. His request."
Shawn nodded to her and whispered as well. "If you need us, call us." He tapped his ear piece.

Anna just looked around completely confused. What had she gotten herself into. No wonder he old man wanted to retire. So nice of him to warn him about the interesting things she would come across.
She walked into the room surveying the situation. She knelt down next to the pretty boy and the little girl. "Forgive me, I'm not sure if I know what's happened. Can I help with something? My name is Miss Tate, I'm the new principal."

Lance looked down at the woman who claimed to be the principal. He thought it was a man. It didn't matter. Actually this was a little better. He didn't stop rocking Kat and when he spoke it was very calm and soothing. "Hi. My name is Lance Stolyar and this is my sister Kat. She had a very traumatic experience with large men. I wasn't expecting them to be in the office. I'm sorry. I was just bringing her in to get her schedule. She was supposed to be starting as a Sophomore today but I don't think that's going to happen now. Once she calms down I'll take her home." So much for starting school. He just hoped their father would agree to home school rather than putting her in an institution. He wanted to cry and shout and scream for what happened to her to make her this way.

Kat listened to him talk to the lady behind her. She felt like such a burden. She mopped herself up, still shaking. She needed to be stronger than this. She needed to prove that she was stronger than Her. She could already feel the girl clawing at the back of her mind to get out. The meds the doctor had given her only helped so much. But she had heard her father talking to her aunt and uncle. She knew that if she couldn't handle public school that he was going to take her away from her brother. He was going to put her in a hospital. She wouldn't be separated from Lance again, he was the only one that kept her safe. They only one that could make Her go away. She sniffled and looked up at her brother.
"No, please don't take me home. I'll be alright. I promise, Bubby. Please, I can do this. Please don't take me home." She turned around to see the pretty red haired lady. She had kind eyes and she smelled pretty.
"Please Miss Tate, I did't mean to cause a scene. I'll be good, may I please stay at your school. I'll be alright as long as none of them yell at me. I didn't mean to cry. Please let me stay." This was her one and only hope, her only chance to try and be normal. To stay with her brother.
Anna just looked at the girl and her heart broke for her. "Of course, sweet girl. If you need anything, you know where my office is and it is always open to you."

Lance almost breathed a sigh of relief when Kat spoke. He thanked the gods she had come to her senses. He turned her face so that she was looking at him. Her eyes were a bit darker than normal but he could still see his sister. "You sure you're ok Kitty Kat? I don't want to put too much stress on you. Nobody is going to yell at you. Those men weren't angry with you. They were having a situation all on their own. They won't hurt you I promise."
