Kallen smiled at her. "Absolutely. Thank you so much for understanding. Kaleb, why don't you head to class."
Kaleb nodded and exited her office. Keira gave him a dirty look as he left.
"I should probably get to work. Thank you again for helping him out. I can't give him the fresh start he wants but I think that staying here and trying to make amends will help him a lot more than running from his problems." He stood and offered her his hand to shake.

She took his hand and shook it. "I think you're right. I will do everything I can to help make that possible for him. It was a pleasure meeting you Mr. Draconis." She walked him to the door and looked down at the girl with the sour face sitting out side her office. She gave her a smile. "Come on in."

Keira looked up at the new principal. She was hoping to avoid this but Mr. Bennett seemed to have something up his ass this morning. She walked into the office and sat down. "Mr. Bennett sent me here. He said that I was being mean to Kaleb." She rolled her eyes.
Kallen waited until the principal had taken the girl into her office before slipping a note inside Stormy's mailbox. He'd admired her for quite awhile now but was only recently able to accept it. His summer with his son had helped them both immensely. The note simply said: "I was wondering if you'd like to go to dinner with me sometime. I know this great barbeque joint that I think you would appreciate. Call me if you decide you have the time. Kallen." The note also held his personal cell number. Once it was in place he left the school and raced to work.

Great, a teenage girl with an attitude, cause there weren't a thousand of those. She took a deep breath away from the girl and shut the door behind before moving in front of her. "I'm Miss Tate, nice to meet you.... You must be Keira. And were you? Mean to Kaleb?" She was proud of herself for keeping the sarcasm out of her voice. Sometimes she had to remind herself that these were high schoolers and not toddlers. It wasn't just here, it was at any high school in her experience.

"I was merely stressing the importance of him not picking on my sister as she is a freshman this year. I don't want her going through the same hell I did just because she's my sister and he has a poor attitude." That was putting it lightly. He was rude, crude, mean and, well, violent. Kyli didn't deserve that thrown at her.

"How did you stress it that got you sent here? Cause that sounds reasonable to me. I doubt you'd be here if it had gone down that way. At least I hope not, cause then I have to have another conversation with a member of my staff." Something about the girl's attitude rubbed her the wrong way, but as the Principal she didn't get to make personal opinions like that... Especially on the first day.

She shrugged. "I had a few choice words to say. They may have come across a little gruff but do you know how many times he's said stuff like that to me? And then he pushed his desk at me. I think I have bruises on my shins now." She reached down and rubbed her legs for emphasis. She wasn't going to tell the principal that her ultimate goal was to get the bastard expelled. He deserved it.

Anna feigned concern. "I'm so very sorry. I do hope you're alright. If you'd like to go to the nurse and have your shins looked at I'll give you a pass. Also if I might have a look at your schedule, I can see about ensuring you have to spend add little time with him as possible. Without changing your schedule, of course."
She had always been amazingly good and making people think she was going above and beyond for them when the intent was to benefit someone else. Left over from people to benefit her when she was young.

Now she was freaking out. She needed to be in his classes so that she could get him out of here. The more she provoked him, the angrier he got and the more trouble he got into. "I'm not worried about me. I'm just worried about my sister. That was the only reason for the conversation. I've learned how to handle him."

The girl got nervous all of a sudden. What was she playing at. She'd have to talk to Ryan about how that conversation really went.
"Very well. I understand your concern, and please let your sister know that if she had issues with Mr. Draconis or anyone else, please let myself or one of the SRAs know. Otherwise, how about we treat this as it is, a fresh start. How about we not start it late to our first class, shall we?" She gave her a sweet smile. She was to need coffee after this and it wasn't even nine in the morning.

"Yes ma'am." She grabbed her bag that she had set beside her and left the room hurrying to her first class. Her plans wouldn't be foiled. He would be gone before this time next week. She smiled to herself as she walked quickly through the halls and slipped into her first class right before the bell rang.

Anna just sat down at her desk and put her head in her hands, "The first bell hasn't even rang yet!" She shook her head and sent a quick email to Ryan.
"Mr. Bennett, could you please send me your recount of what happened this morning between Kaleb and Keira, when you have a moment? Thank you."
She sipped on her coffee as she listened to Secretary do the morning announcements.

Ryan sent her a long email that recounted exactly what happened from the moment Keira had entered the room right down to everything that was said and what he told her. At the end of the letter he added:
"I may be human but my ears and eyes aren't broken. Kaleb was doing just fine before she entered. Not even a snide remark to the others students in class. In fact I think he may have made a friend. If she's not intimidated by what she saw that is. I hope this helps."

Second Period--
Ivan snuck into the teacher's lounge after everyone had left, closing the door partly. He turned out the lights and clutched his head. First he found his lifemate colors very vivid and his emotions ran rampant, then he encounters a girl that had had horrible atrocities happen to her that put her in a mental state of a toddler but there was another voice in her mind. His head was pounding. Grabbed two bottles of water from the refrigerator and then laid down on the couch with one behind his neck and the other he sipped on.

Anna felt Ivan walk by and into the teacher's lounge. She was curious how the young girl's first day went. It would be nice to get an impartial opinion. Ivan was one of the eldest among them. He had been without color and without emotion since before she was born. But she had always known him to be kind and honest. She noticed the state that the lounge was in, with the large man sprawled out on one of the couches. She walked in quietly and sat in the arm chair next to him.
"That well, huh?"
