Damian showed up in Anna's office about twenty minutes before the new student and his father were scheduled to show up.
"So are you excited? I love meeting new students with their parents. Which reminds me... When are our parent/teacher conferences?"

Anna just looked at Damian with a smile. She appreciated his enthusiasm, even if she didn't always share it.
"Middle of October. And I am looking forward to putting faces to stories and voices."

"Cool. So, I know I just told you I would be here for this meeting. I probably should have asked. Do you want me here for this or do you have it covered? I can be elsewhere if it's easier for you. Whatever you want me to do boss."
He wasn't used to being Vice Principal. He was used to taking charge of everything but he really needed to wait for instruction as to not overstep his bounds.

Anna just laughed. "It's ok. I don't mind at all. It may give them a better sense of security."

"Ok. Sounds good." He made himself comfortable in one of her chairs to wait for them.
Christopher showed up at the school about ten minutes early. It looked secure enough. He walked in with his son and found the office quickly. He pushed open the door and smiled at the secretary. She took one glance at the both of them and buzzed Anna's office. "Miss Tate? Your one o'clock is here."

"Thank you." Anna stood and walked out to the Lobby to meet them. The man was nothing like she expected, the boy however.... exactly as she expected. She smiled all the same, she refused to make a snap judgment.
She reached out to shake the hand of both Father, then son. "Good Afternoon, I'm glad you could come on such short notice. Please come back to my office. Our Vice Principal will be joining us as well. Can I you anything to drink?"

Christopher shook her hand with a smile. "Very well. We're fine. This is my son, Rune."
Rune didn't remove his sunglasses. He hated the way people were drawn to him because of his eyes. He shook her hand and gave a polite smile. She looked trustworthy enough but before he tried anything he'd have to see what the Vice Principal was like.
They both followed her into her office where Damian was waiting with a smile. "Good afternoon. I am Damian Depardeau the Vice Principal." He shook both their hands. "Please have a seat."

Anna followed behind them. The boy seemed polite enough. She sat behind her desk.
"So, ask anything you like from us, we will answer as best we can. Then when discussions are complete if you are still interested in joining us, we can take you on a tour of the school itself."

Once seated, Christopher's eyes wandered around the room very quickly before centering his gaze on Anna. "I care very much about my son's safety. Really the questions I have are in regards to your policies for bullying. I know school has only been in session for a few weeks and you are new here. So I was wondering what steps you were taking to make sure the school is a safe learning environment for all students."
Rune's heart accelerated when he saw the Vice Principal. He was a freaking angel! The outline of his pristine wings showed through clearly to him so he knew that he was decently powerful. They could help him here if he could only communicate with them without his father knowing. This was his chance!

"I take reports of bullying very seriously. There have been a couple students that have already found their way to me for that cause. In one case it was a student who's aggression were focused on a single student. The students schedule was changed to extremely limit the time spent with the offending student and the offending student was given a first and final warning that the behavior would not be tolerated. We were all children and teenagers once and I know that we ever get along with everyone all of the time. There will be disagreements and such from time to time. But a Bully will not be suffered here and my staff is in agreement. I have a open line of communication with my staff all throughout the day and if anything requires my attention, I address it immediately. It is not just the physical safety of my students that I concern myself with, but their mental and emotional well being as well. And I am aware that bullying isn't always a physical altercation."
She looked between the two men, trying to gauge their opinions. Then she turned to Damian. "Anything to add?"

Damian nodded. "We also have a new lead Student Resource Administrator that shares our views as well as two SRA's to back him up and a few more to be hired. They constantly wander the halls and have a direct line of communication with us and all teachers as well."
Christopher seemed pleased with this. Perhaps this was the right school. He looked at his son who had the same straight face he always wore and then looked back at the principal. "It seems you have everything under control. I would prefer to take a tour of the school, if you don't mind, before I make my decision."
Rune was elated by the amount of security. He would be safe here. A tour would provide him with adequate knowledge to stay here once school was let out and be safe from his father. Summing he chose to enroll him.

"Of course. Please after you." She stood and showed them back out of the office. She turned to the young boy, "So, Rune, is there any particular extracurricular that you are interested in? Music, Theater, Photography or anything like that?"

Now came the part Rune hated the most: the interaction. It wasn't just his eyes that drew people to him but also the melodic sound of his voice. He hated being what he was. The visions and shit screwed with his head but the feeling he gave people generally unnerved them as well. It was either to the point that they avoided him like the plague or they felt that they needed to be near him and it agitated them. Sometimes to the point of beating him up on a regular basis.
He cleared his throat. He had to answer her. "I prefer photography or any kind of art." He'd learned to keep his answers short to minimize exposure.

"Great, That tells me what part of the school we need to focus on." She smiled and lead them towards the academic wing. "This is where the bulk of your core classes will be. As as Sophomore, You will have Mr. Kirowitz there for your English class. Ms. O'Connell for World History, She's in that room. Mr. Tomlison will be Biology teacher and Mr. Bennett will be your math teacher." She pointed to each teacher as they walked by, they will all in the middle of classes and could be easily seen through the large glass walls.
"I will be sure to place you in classes that match your level for Math. As well as your electives."

As they passed by the classrooms, Rune noticed a general theme going on. Carpathian, Human, Carpathian, Human. He didn't know much about Carpathians yet but he knew he would soon. He never questioned where the knowledge came from anymore. He had no idea what the levels were for public school but he knew he had so much knowledge in his head that he didn't know if he could fit anymore in there. He did notice a few of the students were supernatural creatures. He spotted two Garou, two Demons, an Angel and a Satyr. This was definitely an interesting school.
Christopher took in everything he saw. "What classes are you offering assessment tests for?"
