"I think that's everything. Thank you so much for seeing us on such short notice. I look forward to hearing from you about when he can start." Christopher stood and held his hand out to the principal with a smile.
Rune stood when his father did and nodded to her in thanks. He really hoped they got a call tonight saying he could start tomorrow. He was going to pack his backpack tonight just in case.

She shook Christopher's hand. "It was my pleasure. You will know something as soon as I do. Please, have a lovely day and I will let you know when I hear back from the transferring school."
She stood and lead them back into the main office. She was still trying to get a read on the both of them. She didn't care for the father much, but there was something endearing about Rune. She would have to set James on it and see what he could come up with.
She walked into Damian's office. "So, what was your take on the Drakoulious'?"

Damian looked up from his computer and leaned back in his chair. "I don't like Christopher. I get the feeling that he uses his son for his own gain. Did you see how pale the boy was? How thin? He's malnourished which shouldn't be possible for a boy living with his well off father. I don't know what's going on with it but I don't like it at all. And there's something peculiar about the boy. I can't place it. He's human but there's something else there."

"I saw that as well. Something tells me that the boy is trying to get away from his father. In fairness, I'm a bit of an empath and there just something off about the relationship between the boy and his father. I'm going to see if I can call in a few favors and get the boy's records from Shawnee Mission today so that he can start tomorrow. But, its good to know that I'm just dealing with Humans.... At least for his father."
Humans were so easily manipulated, it made life easier, and made them more susceptible to suggestions. That usually worked in her favor and she didn't do it unless she had a good reason.... Usually.

"I will literally take the request form over there myself and wait until they give me his records if you want. There's something very fishy going on between those two and I just have a really bad feeling about it. Almost like we should separate them sooner rather than later." He was legitimately worried for the boy.

"That makes two of us. If you don't have anything on your plate right now, I think that would be a great idea. Just tell them Anna Tate sent you, the office staff there knows me."
She was so thankful for him. She still had to talk to Alexandria and Ivan about Sabine and her parents.

"I've got nothing and I am happy to run the errand. I'll see if I can't flirt with the receptionist a bit to move things through faster." He winked at her.

"Good lord, does that ever get you into trouble?" She smirked as she shook her head at him. She was fairly certain that he was older than her, but she couldn't see anything other than a little boy when she looked at him.

"Sometimes. But it's worth it to see them smile and blush." He smirked.
